About Sarel Herbst
The Turning Point
- 100+ surgeries
- 40 days in a sedated coma – a near-death experience (NDE)
- life-saving moments no doctor could explain
- a fight for identity, purpose and the right to live again
I shifted from living with purpose to fighting for breath, learning how to walk and talk during a six-year recovery, ultimately reclaiming my identity and the right to live again. That moment didn’t merely disrupt my life — it changed it forever.
When life turns up the heat, front-runners turn up their courage.
On 7 October 2003, a single moment changed my life forever. However, I refused to let that be the end of my story. Grace appeared among the wreckage and in that instant, I experienced an awakening: as long as you’re breathing, your story isn’t over — it’s only the beginning. I am the author of “What If Tomorrow Never Comes”, a husband and a father.
I share hard-earned life lessons so that others may be inspired to rise with clarity and courage and find purpose in their own lives.
The Journey
What came after the accident wasn’t just recovery; it was a complete reinvention. Clarity isn’t created in comfort — it’s shaped through crisis. My story remains raw, truthful, faith-driven, and grounded in experience — not merely theory.
Today, I leverage two decades of lessons, failures, breakthroughs, and God-inspired turning points to empower others to grow stronger and lead purposefully. To take responsibility and remain accountable regardless of the situation.
Philosophy
I help people cut through the noise, reconnect with their purpose and lead with courage. Direction isn’t a title; it’s a daily choice. Courage isn’t a single moment; it’s a practice.
Managers don’t rise when conditions are perfect — they rise when clarity is challenged, pressure is intense, and the stakes are high. When your life reconnects with purpose, you don’t just perform better — you become unshakeable. You become the original version of yourself.
